| Mostly self-taught, Suzanne has devoted the last ten years to commercial art. Her favorite medium is acrylic and she uses various surfaces such as wood, metal, ceramic, Masonite panels and canvas to best express the subject and composition. She has sold her work nationally through retail establishments and recently ventured into international sales.
Suzanne enjoys painting Christmas themes, cozy country cottages, gardens and farm animals but her most cherished subjects are people's prized pets. Having two dogs of her own, Suzanne understands what pet owners like in a painting of their favorite breed and attempts to capture the essence of the animal with a brush and palette. By combining her love of animals and painting, her goal is to strengthen the bond between people and animals. |
